むといっく事前学習　その9＜問題＞

今回はReadingの問題ですが、TOEICのリスニングには「コツ」があります。
この「コツ」さえしっかりマスターすれば、長文は恐くないです！

そのコツとは・・・

「選択肢・設問に関わってくる場所を本文中から探し出す嗅覚をつけること」です。
TOEICの長文では本文の全ての意味が分かる必要はありません。それどころか、設問の答えとなる部分は
本文中に表現を変えて書かれている事がほとんどです。
つまり、設問・選択肢が本文中でどのように言い換えられているかを見つける力があればよいのです。

TOEICの長文でまず、必要な力はそれだけです（後々は速読力が必要になります）。

さて、今回は「本文中から探し出す」という感覚を掴んでいただくために、短く、あまり難しくない英文でいってみましょう。

これは、文章全体から解く問題で、それほど難しくはないです。
この文章では、E-30 computer chairの説明をしているので、答えは　Ｃ　で問題ないでしょう。

2.Ｄ
この問題では　"studies"と"worker's comfort"が解答のポイントです。
この2つを特徴的な単語として本文を探すと、1行目に
"Professional studies have shown that as an employee's comfort level increases his or
her job performance also improves"とありますね。
ここが、答えですから、答えは選択肢Ｄです。

3.Ｃ
この問題では、"disconfort"という言葉を本文から探しましょう。
すると、第2段落、2文目に"this can create a situation of extreme physical discomfort" という
文章がありますね。この文章でthis が指す内容は前文
"Most office employees spend 85％ of their workday sitting in front of the compute"
です。すなわち、「1日の85％を座って過ごすことが、ひどい肉体的な不快感を引き起こす」というわけです。
従って、答えはＣで良いでしょう。

では、最後に重要単語をいくつか確認しましょう。
